Omg Donny did you just figure out that Anna planned this?? So dumb lol I thought it was pretty obvious from day 1.

First 20% was just plodding along, then by 30% there was a big twist that kept me going, and now things are really picking up! V excited to read more 🤩

I expected this to be spicier than it is.. which so far is not at all really. 🤔

This is right about where season 1 ends - I’m glad I watched the show first because it helped with visualising everything and while there are some differences it’s not really anything too major imo. I’m excited to read further before I watch season 2!

My prediction is that Bennett leaves his dad’s company and moves to wherever Xander is, they adopt Lucky, and continue doing the same kind of outreach that Bennett is doing but more forestry based.

The world building is so clunky - lots of telling but I’m mostly here for the omegaverse smut so hopefully we get to that soon 😝

Picked this up because it sounded interesting but there’s so many plot holes I’m cry. Stupid things but enough to be annoying.

Like in one scene they get in the back of the car together and in the next Jace is driving. Or they go to cook dinner together but in the next chapter Elliot thinks about how he hasn’t eaten since breakfast.

The one thing that pisses me off is that T’s sister is Deaf and he’s had 5 years to pick up any amount of ASL but hasn’t because he’s worried he won’t be perfect and because he’s an “auditory leaner” 🙄🙄🙄 He didn’t know “yes” or even “I love you” literally nothing!!! Until a cute boy who knows ASL is helping him learn. Willow deserves better.

Pausing my read to get through some ARCs - loved this so far though!

The changes August made from ARC version 1 only make this a stronger book and I’m so enjoying reading it again. Fuck it’s so good!

This 10,000% did not need to be so long and I’m officially bored but also far enough in that I kind of want to just finish it. Pray for me book babes 🥲

I ought to start a new shelf called “Books that make my husband say: if it’s upsetting you so much, why are you still reading it??”

Other titles to add would be Oleander by Scarlett Drake, The Captive Prince trilogy, most books by Riley Nash, and a few more I’m forgetting just now 🥲

Two thoughts so far: I cannot read the green orc’s name (Brokil) without autocorrecting it in my head to Broccoli. I’m already over him calling Silvyr “boy” - it doesn’t need to happen every time you two speak!
