It use to be black and white. And very touched how it was shared. I absolute love the photo. Missed so much, but the little things mean everything.

Its the little things, the moments, the affirmation of knowing, knowing what you believe and feel, want and need. It changes, changes the entire day, week, month. Moments.

Maybe that’s what kinship really is: knowing the heart and the rhythm of another. Somewhere between the wild and the known, there’s peace existing at the edges of each other’s world with with a moment - a glimmer in that .01% of the time.

The Age of Deer isn’t really about deer, not entirely. It’s about nearness — how two lives can move alongside each other, aware, careful, sometimes afraid to step too close. It’s about watching, listening, understanding, supporting, and choosing gentleness.

Do you ever just find yourself an incredible book that touches you, and you want to curl up with it all the time. Pour a glass and wrap your hands around it. Spend your time when you are not reading it, deep in thought about it. Just settling for the .01% when you get an oppertunity. Everyone else is doing their own thing,but you and your book, those are the days I crave and need.

It keeps making me think about the top shelf book” want it in my hands, where I can flip through the each page — know every line. I don’t have to see it to know it’s there. I don’t have to open it to feel the story. There’s a kind of love in that… the quiet kind. The kind where you miss someone with your whole heart, and you know — without asking — that they feel it too. Oliva feels this.

Wish You Were Here is wild — the whole book is about distance that isn’t really distance. About being separated by timing, circumstance, whatever… yet somehow still knowing you’re in the same place emotionally.

Everything is just so much better with this book :)
