I'm about halfway through this book and I'll update this later, but I love the author's writing style and their descriptions of everything and teaching me, a white man, so much about Mexican culture/food/music. I feel fully immersed in this world that I know very little about. The passion is a slow burn but so worth it

Fantastic book with a message that still applies today, vivid imagery. Loved it
