Okayyyy I’m starting to see what the hype is about

The book is cool so far but the themed family names are about to send me into absolute OBLIVION😭 Since the families are big and Aubry J has developed a whole universe of characters it makes it easy to connect the families but some of these are so irrational.
Examples (mind you these are peoples names):
Word, Term, Script
Tulane, Xavier, Yale, Spelman
Pyrite, Citrine, Amethyst
Earth and Fire

I’ve been in a reading slump and this is doing exactly what I needed it to do. I can’t put it down! Love a good hood romance 🤣

Listening on audiobook for my book club and it’s a LOT going on. I love how drama filled the prelude was. Pulled me in immediately!

I’ve started this book before but never made it to the turning point (Perfect’s switch from girl to boy). All I can say is chile this is a lot. It’s such an interesting book.
