The plot was getting really exciting, but hey, instead here are two chapters about an orbital space battle featuring unknown characters who all die anyway 👍🏻

In a world with a (dead) god on the throne who nevertheless keeps the threshold to the warp closed and protects the universe from chaos, it's hard for people to believe in miracles… Makes perfect sense.

Actually pretty exciting, didn’t expect that tbh. Almost every character got a (quite wholesome) moment, which, however, isn’t a good sign though…

MC spontaneously develops a drinking problem and spontaneously cures himself from it, because the war must go on. We’ve all been there.

The book starts right off with toxic male behavior: it describes in detail how awful it is that women are now fighting in the regiment, while at the same time they are "distracted" by (of course) tight combat suits and tucking their hair behind their ears. I need a break ffs…

Gaunt is simply a classic mc with plot armor who kicks down doors everywhere and yells "fuck you" at everyone before shooting them.

Suddenly a courtroom drama unfolds and a table got shot for disobedience. The story gets wild, but so is 40k.

A few pages of plot, followed by 48(!) pages of nothing but fighting, war, death and carnage and then out of nowhere a budding romance wtf? I expected many things, but certainly not THAT

More politics, more fighting, even more dead people and barely plot… yeah, idk.

The book begins with billions of dead people and the bombing of a city.

He saves his life from an ork, treats his wounds, and hits him with the classic "You will survive, that's an order." But yeah, they still hate each other.

He saved him, even though the other had wanted to kill him just moments before, is hypnotized by the sight of him shaving in his undershirt, and their gazes meet and linger remarkably often, but yeah sure, they hate each other to death.

A regiment full of dark-haired men with piercings and neck tattoos… sounds familiar

Robbing the cartel, bar fights, and partying with the boys between two wars. That's the spirit

43% of the story so far is about war and crusades and suddenly an oiled, naked man appears, wearing only a vest and holding a wooden slat. Absolutely unhinged 😂
