Absolute cinema, I’m in love with all the characters

I was sooo skeptical about reading this book, but HOLY SHIT, I absolutely love it (so far). Patience is such a baddie, I love her.

Patience's backstory was really good, but "The Strange Demise of Titus Endor" was absolutely insane. Simply a fantastic, mind-blowing story. Reminded me very much of all the Fitzek Books i‘ve read.

The first three stories don't revolve around characters from the series. The author mentions that they‘re only included because he didn't know where else to publish them. Tbh, I only skimmed them because they're rather weak in content. The first story featuring Eisenhorn and his crew, however, is very good and refreshing; a pure detective story with investigations, pathology, and everything. I enjoyed it.

Four out of seven main characters die within 15 pages, naturally under the pretext of high treason or simply because it's entirely Eisenhorn’s fault.
Classic 40k, can't say I'm surprised.

Somewhat unnecessary to include a love triangle halfway through the last book, but okay. The fact that romance is even mentioned in a Warhammer book is practically a miracle, so…🤷🏻‍♀️

What. the actual. fuck. Within just two chapters, it's escalated to the absolute maximum. I have no idea what could possibly top that.

The beginning was surprisingly pleasant, even genuinely funny at times. After that, however, it escalated very quickly. Anyway, I like it so far.

I'm on page 36 and well... considering that the author (according to her own statement) wrote the novella in 13 days and it's 200 pages long, the pacing is still too fast imho. It all sounds like a classic Wattpad story, and the fact that the author actually wrote a lot there explains many things. Well, we'll see…

I think it’s better for my mental health if I'll skip the last 10 % and stick to my headcanon
