I love how this is written- it’s like talking to a neighbor. Conversational, unpretentious.

Zipping through this. The week before my period I experience this crazy stuck-ness and can’t think or draw or read and the tension is terrible- like a balloon inflating in a steel box. These poems are short and silly and perfect for this condition

Soviet authors looooove to explain the backdrop to a text in painstaking detail, dont they

Maybe the translation is poor, but this reads more like an Edwardian text than something published in 1958
