I think I’m done reading. It’s getting irritatingly repetitive and melodramatic

Honestly, Im just getting really bored. I’m gonna DNF. I think her writing style just doesn’t mesh well with me.

I’m going to go ahead and DNF. I really tried to give this book a shot, I even looked past all the endless info dumps in the start because I thought it would become more substantive…:it didn’t. It continued being a chore to get through instead honest fun. But what really did me in was the juvenile dialogue, and how the main characters act. They act like teenagers, not world leaders who have fought in a war.

Not going to lie I had to read the first few chapters multiple times because I was getting confused about who and where was what 🫢😆 typical fantasy problem but once I locked in I’m so into it

I’m got bored. And the FMC is annoying….and the MMC is too.

I think I’m not going to continue reading. The writing is so choppy and repetitive. Maybe this book is geared toward middle grade but I thought it was marketed as a YA.

But it’s so repetitive and treats the reader like they’re dumb and need everything spoon fed, at the cost of connecting with the characters.

Unfortunately, this book was just not for me. About 27% and I just kept getting annoyed with the writing. Specifically when the author keeps alluding to an ominous backstory over and over. That kind of stuff really bothers me.
