It’s getting so cutie! I wish our girl would realize her worth and see that he loves her and she’s great and can do great things!! She’s so insecure about herself and her work and it’s so heartbreaking but honestly very realistic. I can definitely feel for her when she was having a hard time saying out loud that she “was incredible”

Ok it’s getting pretty cute now. I think the problem before was that I didn’t believe the stakes yk? Like I didn’t care about what’s her face bc I could tell it was all her and one sided. And so many things just felt so slow and random, but now there’s actually cute moments and reasons to cheer for them to be together

Now why would she go off and interrupt what was likely to be a love confession by saying she was pretending of all things! Girl needs to wake up and realize how much he actually likes her!!

HOW DOES SHE NOT GET IT!! How can you possibly think that he was pretending! He was DRUNK on you!

Ok getting back into it, I feel like I like it more than before. Maybe the story just ramped up or maybe it’s my mindset, but I def am enjoying it more this time around. Not on the edge of my seat or anything but still. I also can’t believe it isn’t obvious to her how much Levi likes her after the ball stuff. And Ethan is def creep material and will be doing some scandalous behavior at some point I just know it

Starting my first reread of this series!! I’m hoping to catch a lot more and dive heavier into the themes and all that bc before I kept getting caught up in book v movie differences and what changed but I think I can focus better this time around

Everyone acts so odd in this book. I’m so confused. It would be more interesting if we got little snippets or things that might hint and other outcomes, but it feels like a bunch of random days and activities that don’t matter. All I know is that no one ever acts how they feel and Cadence is the only person that is somewhat normal with her feelings.

I don’t really like Gat. He’s good hella mood swings and acts like he’s better than them because he’s not reliant on money or whatever. All holier than thou because he reads about how other people struggle. And he’s honestly rude to Cadence. Also! Why won’t anyone give her a straight answer. That’s about to piss me clean off.

Is this how rich people talk or is this weird? I’m so confused why conversations are so awkward and not flowing. Like sometimes I’m thinking she’s imagining things the way they respond but then they eventually talk to her. Like with the emails I thought maybe she never sent them but then they confirmed they got them just never responded. Weird family

I don’t know how to feel. It’s kind of spotting with the story for me. I’m not sure what’s happening but maybe that’s the point? I’m kind of just waiting for a plot to develop because right now it’s just random things happening with seemingly no correlation or meaning. I don’t know, it’s all very odd to me.

Honestly kind of confused. I’m trying to get everyone’s names and families straight still. I hope it gets more interesting

Heard lots of great things so I’m excited to get started. Unfortunately I think I might know what the twist is but I will try my best to forget that. I’m not 100% sure it’s even correct. Anyways, I’m hoping for a great read!

omg i knew the apple didn’t fall far from the tree but damn, the exact same “you need to be punished” “you must learn your lesson” with the absolutely ridiculous punishments being reciprocated is gut wrenching. i’m in utter shock that she was just like, thanks for teaching him about dental hygiene 🤷‍♀️ too bad he had to die to learn his lesson, that’s a scary family

i’m so relieved, i was so scared how this was going to go down, but the detective being kathleen’s dad is just perfect, someone who understands the gravity of the effect andrew had on someone and someone who actually tried to understand nina’s accusations of being trapped in the attic, and i love how he spins it to not be her getting revenge but it being a hazard, genius honestly

omg finally we know why millie was in prison, and i love that basically everything “bad” that she did was really self defense or sticking up for herself, like she didn’t start any of it really, but she sure as hell will finish it. at the beginning i wasn’t expecting to the husband to be the dead body in the attic but that’s gotta be the case now

omggg yesss revenge!! i hate that guy!! physically repulsed by him! so glad she found a way, i reallly reallyyyy hope that she gets away, also that means that nina probably put it in there and it was a way to help her if she ever was in that situation

honestly bravo to her for knowing her way out, it sucks that millie is the brunt of it, i just hope she doesn’t endure much and then with both stories and enzo as witness they can come together and take him down, or just flat out find a way to kill him “by accident” and get rid of him for good. this is a good book

i just realized that nina probably set up the showdown ticket specifically for when cece was leaving so that whenever everything goes down, she knew she would be gone and safe, it was all planned and she knew that was her opportunity, calling it

i do feel really bad for nina but now i need to know why she was being so back and forth with millie, like what was the purpose of giving her these wild goose chases and mood swings, there’s gotta be a purpose, it doesn’t seem like that just how she is anymore
