omg finally we know why millie was in prison, and i love that basically everything “bad” that she did was really self defense or sticking up for herself, like she didn’t start any of it really, but she sure as hell will finish it. at the beginning i wasn’t expecting to the husband to be the dead body in the attic but that’s gotta be the case now

omg i knew the apple didn’t fall far from the tree but damn, the exact same “you need to be punished” “you must learn your lesson” with the absolutely ridiculous punishments being reciprocated is gut wrenching. i’m in utter shock that she was just like, thanks for teaching him about dental hygiene 🤷♀️ too bad he had to die to learn his lesson, that’s a scary family

i’m so relieved, i was so scared how this was going to go down, but the detective being kathleen’s dad is just perfect, someone who understands the gravity of the effect andrew had on someone and someone who actually tried to understand nina’s accusations of being trapped in the attic, and i love how he spins it to not be her getting revenge but it being a hazard, genius honestly

honestly bravo to her for knowing her way out, it sucks that millie is the brunt of it, i just hope she doesn’t endure much and then with both stories and enzo as witness they can come together and take him down, or just flat out find a way to kill him “by accident” and get rid of him for good. this is a good book
