Everyone acts so odd in this book. I’m so confused. It would be more interesting if we got little snippets or things that might hint and other outcomes, but it feels like a bunch of random days and activities that don’t matter. All I know is that no one ever acts how they feel and Cadence is the only person that is somewhat normal with her feelings.

I don’t really like Gat. He’s good hella mood swings and acts like he’s better than them because he’s not reliant on money or whatever. All holier than thou because he reads about how other people struggle. And he’s honestly rude to Cadence. Also! Why won’t anyone give her a straight answer. That’s about to piss me clean off.

Is this how rich people talk or is this weird? I’m so confused why conversations are so awkward and not flowing. Like sometimes I’m thinking she’s imagining things the way they respond but then they eventually talk to her. Like with the emails I thought maybe she never sent them but then they confirmed they got them just never responded. Weird family

I don’t know how to feel. It’s kind of spotting with the story for me. I’m not sure what’s happening but maybe that’s the point? I’m kind of just waiting for a plot to develop because right now it’s just random things happening with seemingly no correlation or meaning. I don’t know, it’s all very odd to me.

Honestly kind of confused. I’m trying to get everyone’s names and families straight still. I hope it gets more interesting
