Finished chapter 5 annoyed at a villain. Leon better deal with this in a satisfying way.

Listening to on audible and got to chapter 4. I now understand why they were giving this book away for free.

And I now understand why so many people got annoyed and dropped the series.

Honestly, these apart add nothing to the overall story. You can make an argument, but you couldn’t argue that this is the worst choice by the author.

I’m kind of annoyed. The MC is being looked down on or teased has the author might have you think. It’s basically “Oh, they’re women, so it’s ok.”.

Add on the fact that the MC couldn’t level, and was more or less holding his own. He should have experienced a massive boost once he started, and it never really happened. What’s the point of leveling then?

I haven’t gotten too far and my opinion of the MC is that he’s become a dick.

I’m wondering if I’m just too old to enjoy the story for what it is.

Has that annoying I’ll just go along with it cause it’s training bull. Sure it’s abusive and cruel, but better abused and scared than dead, am I right?

Ch 19

I’m not hating the book, but it feels like the MC has no real control over his decisions. Like I get that it’s book one and he’s doing all this for the training.

It just feels like he’s being used too easily.

I’m hoping I get to see some backbone from him.

I’m also hoping, but don’t believe it will happen, that he won’t end up with Crimson. At least with how things are right now.

This isn’t my first Snekguy story.

I keep reading his stories hoping that one will be really amazing and speak to me.

At this point it’s an ok story. Maybe something will change in the coming chapters.

Started on Reddit and am at chapter 67.
