Honestly so far chapter 3 is my fav one. Rook is really nice and peculiar ngl, most faes I’ve read about are bratty pricks ngl. The raven transformation he did, requested by Iso reminded me of a Howls Moving Castle scene so I hope I’ll like the book even more since he does remind me of movie Howl and Iso as book Sophie

The thane was an ugly ass thing, and to find out that it was made from dead human remnants was crazier lmfao Isobel is better than me I’d kms for the thane on the spot if it started chasing me across a hill 50 km away. The Prince seemed like a nice guy, hell, he even said sorry for subtly upsetting her despite the fact that Faes never apologized at all unless forced to, him being a raven shapeshifter was cool too

The first chapter was nice, I didn’t lose interest & the Fae lore was explained clearly. I liked Gadfly, he’s a weird guy lmfao. I didn’t know that Fard had courts regarding sessions too! I was under the impression that there was just the seely and unseely court. Isabel is a nice fmc rn; she’s not too calm or too antsy either. Her POV isn’t too cringe or rapid paced either and she’s very composed too.

I hope something bad like Grey being discovered or possibly sacrificed like the rest of the Locke blood members does not happen. That would send my blood pressure sky-rocketing lmfao. I wonder if Grey will take up the land of Locke if the aisle is back up again, or will she preferably live her life with Kier or maybe rule the kingdom with him? Or maybe her brother's still alive somewhere and might rule instead?
