So from what I’ve gathered, Rook was actually NOT sweet at all and he’s like a funny but bratty strutting peacock Ngl. But more of a raven cuz technically his preferred animal to shapeshift into is a raven. I like how Isobel isn’t really timid or scared, and is actually able to give him back attitude and scare him too whenever he gets annoying

The thane was an ugly ass thing, and to find out that it was made from dead human remnants was crazier lmfao Isobel is better than me I’d kms for the thane on the spot if it started chasing me across a hill 50 km away. The Prince seemed like a nice guy, hell, he even said sorry for subtly upsetting her despite the fact that Faes never apologized at all unless forced to, him being a raven shapeshifter was cool too

My dumbass had to google what lead tin yellow was just to be met with the bright color of a normal yellow, and then the fact that Isobel’s sisters March and May are GOATS??? How does that work???? That surprised me for sure lmfao cuz how’d she have them functional around the house since she mentioned they were useless last year and just bleat all day

The first chapter was nice, I didn’t lose interest & the Fae lore was explained clearly. I liked Gadfly, he’s a weird guy lmfao. I didn’t know that Fard had courts regarding sessions too! I was under the impression that there was just the seely and unseely court. Isabel is a nice fmc rn; she’s not too calm or too antsy either. Her POV isn’t too cringe or rapid paced either and she’s very composed too.
