I immediately hate the female narrator’s attempt at a male voice.

This is a struggle. Everyone is so aggressively forceful. Two parties initially decline vehemently and one of the MMC said he’d drop it but yet didn’t. I feel like everyone was bullied into this and I feel like Hunter & Drake just need to get it on. Isabel is basically inconsequential.

Additionally… I feel there are conflicts in the story line. It opens as if he’s always hated the little sister and she’s always been annoying and bratty but she just reminisced about a “good time” they had going it the movies when she was 12….

I have issues with this trope. Normally it wouldn’t bother me since they didn’t grow up together per se but I don’t know what’s worse, growing up together or being 20 something when she came into your life as an 8 year old and NOW you sexualize her. It’s too close to ick.

So far the pacing of this book is rather fast. And borderline set up to be nothing more than a porn. I hope it gets better. I like plot with my spice.

FFS these books. So the first time the author wants to even broach the topic of BC and she goes full hog claiming an early twenties female got her tubes tied… nevermind the fact that it’s sooooo difficult to do that under the age of 30. Then there’s the insurance. The mental competency… *sigh*.

Legit… it’s nearly four hours from Akron to Cincinnati.

The plot jumps annoy me. Like arguing about Hazel being involved and then all of a sudden it jumps to him apparently having kicked his friends out.

I’m into these books mostly but so far this is basically the same as the first book. Even the same actions/words.

Can we also explain why Argus doesn’t do a damn thing with stepdad shows up!?

Pretty decent read. I think Renzo is def in a top spot for fave MMC of this series but there was definitely some lackluster moments.

Why do all the books after Connor seem to ignore that he’s actually the brother…

This book is dragging for me. God I hope it picks up. I just saw there are 4 hours left and I’m wondering if there will actually be plot.

1) Overuse of 'good girl'
2) Crass words coming from the mousey innocent girl don't jive for me.
3) Wade (ch. 15) constantly wanting to compare what he does to what his brother does is super cringe.

Chapter 10… okay but like aren’t they in the middle of the living room where any guest can come see.

Just got to chapter 2, and if this isn’t shaping up to be the plot of While You Were Sleeping then I don’t know what is.
