"My attitude was basically, Screw it. I don't care. She wasn't even that pretty." ...seriously? This is a classic young writer mistake. Writing a memoir does not mean you have to take readers through every passing thought in your head. 1) it makes the writing almost unbearable to get through. 2) you end up sounding like an awful human being.
