i care so disproportionately about the julian perspectives its kinda bad because wah i really feel for the guy sia. i dont think its because the other sections are written more poorly but i just think this poor fella man seriously

reading true blue sci-fi books can be such an insidious experience for me because genuinely none of these corrupt evil societies are fictional. they exist in different manifestations across places globally. talking about state censorship and class barriers and oppression? majulah lor. the land of the free and home of the brave. nowhere on earth is free of power politics and control. what a sobering thought

so ok here’s the situation. this book is really really interesting and i’m dying to find out what happens next but i’m also actually terrified of this book. i was reading this and dan called me and i screamed in the hawker centre out of shock. its also abit graphic for me. please help vote friends if i should continue reading or not.

all i am is a liar. i say “no more new books until i finish at least one”. i lie!!! my apologies. so far this is damn cute

i’ve lowkey started getting commitment aversion on goodreads.. because what if i start a book and then i give up??? but i am about halfway through this and am ready to start committing to finishing books again. on an unrelated note the fact that the author’s name is sheldon is so correct considering this book is about a giant salamander like. that makes so much sense to me

still at 17% technically 17.8 but philippians is officially one of my favourite books

this book is for real a warm cup of soup… love it so far

so it turns out that i’m the biggest liar ever and reading this series gives me an idea of what its like to be a smoker. i gave it YET ANOTHER SHOT and started the audiobook because i have issues or whatever.

my poolside read for today is going pretty good so far!! the stylisation of the writing reminds me of project hail mary.
