I had an idea of how this story was going to end, I thought grace was going to send the bugs off to earth then turn around and save rocky, and it's looking like that might be likely

Really hope rocky miraculously turns up again in these final 50 pages 😭

That may have been the most exciting chapter of a book I've ever read. It absolutely thundered along and was unbelievably tense the whole time. Absolutely brilliant. (Chapter 19) I can't wait to see what happens next.

Oh my we are getting closer and closer to grace and rocky physically meeting, I hope they get off with each other

Really fun chapter now that Grace and Rocky can communicate a bit to each other. I really like Rocky, he is very cute.

I think Grace comes off like a whiny little loser at times I'll be honest.

First contact with flipping bloody aliens, genuinely tense and exciting end to that chapter

Slooooooow and pretty dense chapter. I get the Grace slog all the experiments on astrophage to figure it out is important to the story, but it's quite dull reading.

Still exciting and interesting. I can totally imagine Ryan Gosling saying some of these lines of dialogue too, and I'm not sure if that's helping my enjoyment or diminishing it.
I didn't like the bit where he stormed back into the lab and demanded some astrophage to work on because of his kids. ew let the proper labs and teams of scientists do their job you weirdo.
