I'm trying...I really want to like this book. Gina's just...not a character about whom I enjoy reading. The only thing that keeps me coming back is believing maybe she'll change, but...I don't like the damage to other characters and relationships she's causing. She's selfish. Ick.

Rereading this because I read it a while ago and remember enjoying it, but I want a refresher of the first two books in the series before I read the third.

Ugh. Was enjoying this book to this point. Will skim the rest rather than not finishing it, but...dang. I'm bummed.

Still reading, but this book does not make me smile. I dislike Sam, and Clint, and Danielle. They're all...just difficult, toxic humans. I like Archer and Tara, and Selma is entertaining, although her bad choices make me sad.

I know some people really love books like this. I'm not one of them, so, while I'm still reading, I'm not enjoying this journey. It's well-crafted, though. So, if this is your thing? Go for it.

Clint has made me cringe from the beginning, He's especially cringy now, and I'm not thrilled with Sam being hung up on him. Ick.

Ick. Ick. Ick.

What is it about unlikable FMCs? 😂 Sam is...unlikable. Impatient. Selfish. I almost stopped reading a couple of times, but I like Bump, and Tara, and Sam's father. And Sam seems to be...growing? Healing? Or maybe I'm just hopeful that she'll change.

The mystery is subtle and developing slowly, which is good. Overall, it's an engaging, well-crafted book.

Polly is just a...well. She's unpleasant. Her mother issues explain her behavior, but the way she treats Joel and the fact that he keeps coming back for more of her dismissive bitchiness? I just can't. Sorry. I wanted to like this book. I really did. But. It's just...a very frustrating read for me.

Like the previous book in this series, this one needs some editing.

Sill wonderful, dynamic characters...but...secrets being kept from the reader is annoying. (ie: the infamous letter that both Lacey and June read entirely, but only part is shared with readers.) The book is bordering on angsty. I really (really!) hope the current scene (which is great, btw) moves everything forward in a way that celebrates trust.
