Perfect Christmas week read!! Finley (love the name btw) is relatable & likable. Definitely like Tyler better than Alex, and Roland is a creep.

I am very much enjoying this book! : )

So...the Christmas squirrel by the town's sign + the bearded barber shop pinup girl sent me looking at Claire Kingsley's author page. Yup, she wrote Bailey Brothers & Haven Brothers. Both series are going on my reread list.

This book has kind of a Hallmark movie vibe (in a good way) + recognizing why Tilikum, WA, is familiar is...a nice discovery.

I'm trying, There is *so* much I like about this book but the frenemies trope...kinda makes my skin itch (borrowing a descriptor from the book). Kinda makes me cringe, to be completely honest.

Cora is the most likable character + the reason I'm still reading. Ford & Rosie...they're...annoying. I see glimpses of where their relationship might become...less...annoying. So there's that.

The first sentence made me cringe, but...really glad I stuck with it. I heard this is a good series. The chapters I've read so far do not disappoint! They've drawn me in and gotten me invested in these characters.

Editor me found one paragraph where two characters speak (one at the start & one at the end). I'm itching to put a simple return in that paragraph to keep the flow going lol.

So much I'm loving about this book!! But. Why haven't they had a conversation with the lawyer who drafted the will? Grace signed it, so she knows who the lawyer is. Why haven't they visited the Clerk of Court? In Montana, records of marriages are kept there.

If the documents were tampered with, there's a whole different path to travel. Maybe these things will be addressed, but right now, I'm stumbling over them.

There are some parallels with Beckett, which I just read (& which was published after Sanctuary) but it's different, too, and soooo good!!! Seriously love this book.
