Alright yall- all yall who never read my stuff cause who really spends enough time on goodreads to look at your friends updates— I may need to quit this book because the erotica- it wasn’t present until now but my lanta no thank you. Saddens me because I enjoy the characters and the time period and the overall romance but I find there is no way for me to reason this fits within my moral compass and standards…

Loving this book.

Apparently I’m going to keep procrastinating Kingdom and Ash and read anything else but that. Why I am not wanting to read the last book of the series??? Who reads 6 other massive books just to quite on the last one?? I’m being dramatic I actually don’t really care if I ever finish the series or not….but logically I should

Okay a better way to word what I tried to earlier— it’s fast paced and humorous in the way that Gilmore Girls is. Does that comparison resonate with anyone??

Yet at the same time holy cows alive I have never highlighted so many times in the first half of the book. A plethora of profound pondering points (yes the over the top use of “p” words was intentional)

I’ve never read a Frederick Backman book before….is his writing style typically this ummm spunky? Chock full of adjectives? I can’t tell if this is because it’s from the perspective of a 17 year old and he’s really good at writing to make you feel that age, or if this youthful tone is common? Does this even make sense?? 🤣 maybe hard stylistic different after reading Let Them and Maya Angelou…
