I’ll be honest that I really prefer The Magician’s Nephew so much more for some reason! I’m over halfway through though so I will give it some more time.

I love when I sit down to start a read-aloud and everyone is complaining (the kids claim it is summer so we shouldn’t be doing “school”) and then one minute in, everyone is totally captivated, age 14 down to 8 (admittedly, my 6 year old wasn’t interested.) Also, this book begins during Polly and Digory’s summer vacation. What a perfect start to our summer reading!

This is such a sweet book! Doing as a read aloud for all of the crew, but I’d not hesitate to assign to a child in 4th grade and up.

Loving this series. I wish I had read it years ago!

Excellent so far—-definitely a book I could read again and again, and I’m not even all the way finished!

Second time reading this…this book is so wild!
