Currently reading this aloud to my 14 year old (while simultaneously listening to the adult version on audio) and I’d say the youth edition is similar but gets to the meat of the story more quickly. With that being said there is really no way my 14 year old or 12 year old son would read this on their own accord. Some of it is over their head because it’s a totally new concept.
