In the book Sadie has started to complete her list to heal after the accident. She has started to forgive her ex boyfriend and best friend who hooked up after the accident but is still feeling stand offish about the whole thing. Max and Sadie's relationship is growing stronger. "Every small moment with Sadie felt like a promise an unspoken vow that we were in this together." (178) I think they will end up together.

Sadie Kingston, a 17 year old girl navigating life after a fatal car accident that kills her best friend Trent. After the accident Sadie would draw over her scars with sharpie. Max, Trent's younger brother, who also survived the car accident, is the only person who only truly understands Sadie. "He sees her, not her scars". I think that Max and Sadie will start to have feelings for each other as the story goes on.

So far in my book a big plot twist happens. Finn was in a tragic car accident. His best friend Jack was in complete denial. "Stop being a drama queen" (153) Jack says this right after Alexis tries to tell Jack about Finn's accident. When the author was explaining how Jack felt, I was feeling them too. My last prediction is that Autumn is going to really struggle with the fact that the love of her life is dead.

If Only I Had Told Her by Laura Nowlin is romance novel. The main characters are Finn & Autumn. Finn had always been in love with Autumn for as long as he could remember. Reconnecting after being apart, they find themselves confessing to each other about how they feel. "I love you" I tell her, saying it for all the time I couldn't before." (87) I think that their story will be good but soon come with many challenges.

"That's what building safe, supportive relationships looks like. It's not about perfection, for that doesn't exist. It's about authentic presence that doesn't punish you for being real." (Hartson 255) At this point in my book the author is talking about rebuilding trusting relationships. While I was reading it became clear how much it effected me as I am navigating to find my closest friends this year.

Healing Isn't Pretty By Mira Hartson is a book about finding your true self and learning to be okay with the person you are now. Mira Hartson talks about different topics of learning to be okay with the person you are right now, knowing when you have done enough for others and when to start doing more for yourself. As soon as the I started reading this book, I knew right away that I would enjoy it and I was right.
