ARCHETYPES: My book's plot mostly follows the quest archetype. I think this because the goal for the protagonist character is to get as many books that the school board has banned. Some obstacles she faces are the school board president's son is in her grade, and also the principal also could catch her because they take the banned books very seriously so if she gets caught she could get suspended.

Summary: the main characters in this book are Darius, Kamran, and Mickey Hagan. The book is about how Mickey Hagan and Kamran save Darius from Al-Qaeda capture in the mountains. This book takes place mostly in Arizona, because that is where Al-Qaeda is keeping Darius.. Also in they end they all end up stopping a terrorst attack on the super bowl, by taking down the main terrorist who was faking as a news reporter.

VISUALIZE: In my book, the author does a great job at getting the reader to visualize the text. For example on page 192 he says "The shock wave lifted the van onto two wheels, and shook my insides" this really helps me visualize what was happening after they detonated the bomb, because I think the author used good descriptive language to make the reader visualize what was happening during this moment in the book.

TEXT TO WORLD: My book is entirely based on the events of pearl harbor. Another event that I can connect text in this book to is when Frank says "I heard tapping inside the ship, which means some sailors were still stuck in an air pocket in there!". This relates to a true story about a cook on a ship who survived a sinking ship by hiding in an air pocket on the ship till rescuers came and saved him from the ship.

Characterization: We learn about Yanek, when the author talks about how malnourished he looks, and feels. Also when the Nazis take him to take a shower, We learn that he just gives up, because he thinks he's going to get gassed by them because that's what most commonly happens you you get a "shower". These are both examples of characterization, because we get a better understanding of Yanek when the author uses them.

Antagonist: the antagonists in my book are the Germans/ Consentration camp workers. They are trying to get rid of all of the Jews in all of Europe by either gassing them, or just working them to death. In this case for Yanek, they have sent him to 7 different camps in 3 years and forcing him to work to death. He's seen many of his bunk mates die and also his whole family was killed or worked to death at the camps.

I would have to rate this book a 8/10. The part about the twin towers is definitely really good but when it goes to Afghanistan it isn't really good. But at the end of the book we learn that the solider (Taz) is the same guy as Brandon, who is the main character in the 9/11 portion of this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense because this book is very suspenseful at some parts..

STATIC VS DYNAMIC: In my book the main character is a dynamic character. I can tell he is a dynamic character because he has a sudden change of mind when he realizes that he wont be able to get to his dad on the top floor of the twin towers. Some evidence showing this is "he then realized that all of the stairwells were destroyed and he couldn't get to his dad's office anymore" on page 94.

Conflict: the conflict in my book is characters vs characters. This is because it is based on the real events of world war 2, which makes the conflict common. The reason for this conflict is because of Japan bombing the american harbor, called pearl harbor which made America start conflict with Japan. The main characters of both sides are Ray for America, and Hideki for the Japanese/Okinawains.

PREDICTION: A prediction I have is that Ray, and Hideki will become friends, or at least meet each other while the Americans are storming Okinawa. I believe this because they are the same age, are afraid of the war, and have a lot in common. Another reason I think this is because they are the main focus of both sides of the war. this shows that they could be friends because they are both main characters of their side

POV: This book is written in first person narrator format, which is when the book is narrated by someone in the story. I can tell this is first person because the words I, and my, are used a lot in this book. these words often show that a book is written in first person. If you had a book written in any third person format, they would use words like hers, his or any other word that you would you to describe someone.

PROTAGONIST:The protagonist in milkweed name is Mishi. In this book Mishi is a boy from Russia in Europe during world war 2. In order to get by he has to steal food/ his needs from people or abandoned stores. This makes the people of the city think poorly of him .However A man named Uri becomes mishis friend and helps him steal. Also Mishi does not know A lot about his family because he was kidnapped when he was 3.

SETTING: This book takes place in 1599 London, but also 1999 London. we can see this when Nathan Field says "I close my eyes trying to get back to the other side of my sleep, to see Shakespeare again". I believe that this shows that first he was in the old era of England, because that was around the era where Shakespeare was alive. also he says"it is 1599, which makes 400 years ago" which shows that it was first 1999

GENRE: Fantasy, but also historical fiction.
I know this because most of the stuff that happened in this book, like how he fell ill, and woke up in 1599, England. That could never happen in real life. But however it does have real historical aspects in it, such as the bridge he walked across with poles that stick up that on the top had heads on them, that really did happen back in this period of time!

Nathan field has just woken up from his sleep, and it is 1599, England! it is supposed to be only 1999 but he got ill and fell asleep and woke up in 1599! He is in London for an acting program that he is a part of. when he wakes up he Meets a man named Harry. Harry is also at the house that Nat woke up at. Harry tells Nat about the new globe theater, which is where Nat is supposed to be performing in modern day.
