I can tell this is first person because the words I, and my, are used a lot in this book. these words often show that a book is written in first person. If you had a book written in any third person format, they would use words like hers, his or any other word that you would you to describe someone.

PROTAGONIST:The protagonist in milkweed name is Mishi. In this book Mishi is a boy from Russia in Europe during world war 2. In order to get by he has to steal food/ his needs from people or abandoned stores.
