SETTING: Drew lives in a city where crime is common. It is 126th street and Lenox Avenue. ¨Two boys, boys who should have been in school, attempted to hold up the store......the two youth shot at the policeman.¨ This shows that this book's setting is in a dark scary Lenox Avenue that the kids here has a mentality that crime is okay and can easily try to kill someone.

Characterization: Stevie Thomas is a caring boy. He always asks if they are okay or if anything is wrong. ¨ You want to talk?¨(P13). This means he is caring about her and could tell something is wrong about her. He also thinks lying is not okay. I know about this because he is investigating the Super Bowl. He is also brave enough to call the association and can stand up for everyone.

Breif Summary: This kid named Steve Thomas is investigating about the super bowl. He thinks the super bowl is all a lie and is staged by someone winning and losing because they were told to. Him and Susie Carol is gonna learn a deeper secret of the super bowl.

Inciting Incident: The inciting Incident is when Aru Shah walks into the Hall of Gods. From then she starts to think critically about magic. In the Hall of gods, she found the Lord of Destruction which was looking at her wand. Her mother tells her that the Lord of Destruction is looking at it because they want the power of it. She then thinks why gods should be admired about the power they already have.

Rags to Riches: Robert and his friend will become friends on the first day of school. Then his friend over the course of time started to ignore him in certain ways. Robert is used to getting ignored and getting said something bad like you look like a bird. "I feel like he is starting to ignore me but I'm fine with it...."(p.212). But as Robert gets older, he starts to make friendships and his family accepts him more.

Summary: The main character of this book is Robert Hoge. This book is about a deformed kid named Robert and his life. This book takes place in Brisbane as a family of 5 in 1972. The overall thing in this book is what Robert as a deformed kid did in his childhood. This book is told as a flashback. Robert is flashing back at his memory.

Visualize: The scene that Robert felt first got in the water. On page 173 it says," The first time I went in the pool, it felt cold.....I never thought I would be able to play a sport." In this sentence I could visualize he is happy that he can play a sport while having a deformed leg. I could also visualize that he feels the cool water touching his skin for the first time. I think this sentence was well written.

Characterization: Jeremiah(MC) is a nice person. The reason I think he is nice is because he coaches and he is liked from the other people. In the book he always motivates kids like saying "You got this." Towards the end of the book, Coach Perkins comes to the team and ruins the team. But Jeremiah says to get out and says that he is ruining the teams motivation. Like that he is brave, nice and a hard working person.

Antagonist: The antagonist in my book is Coach Perkins. He is the coach of the Eagles with Jeremiah. He wants to get the team to lose every game to get back the position he always wanted to instead of Jeremiah. On the Epilogue in the book it says " Coach Perkins will stand a trial for second degree murder in Cincinnati." This shows that he is a violent person that Jeremiah has to face.

Static vs Dynamic: Jeremiah is a static character because his goal is to make a baseball team and lead the team to win the championship. He is always nice to the players and he recognizes what the players should do to improve. Alvin is the dynamic character. Page 237 it says," Alvin is doing so much better...hitting better than ever before. The static person is Jeremiah and the dynamic is Alvin.

Character v. Character: Jeremiah is trying to make a baseball team with all 11 players and win the championship. Jeremiah is getting the team together but some of the players quit the team. "But it's always something.... Casey bean, our relief pitcher, quits" (p. 180). This shows that Jeremiah is facing a problem that players are quitting to go to a new club.

Predictions: Jeremiah, Walt and Danny are going to a baseball tournament and they are getting ready. Danny is not coming to the practices. I think Danny will not come to the tournament and the team will be panicked. ¨These recent practices Danny has been late¨. This shows that he is not into baseball as much.

POV: The point of view of the story is 3rd person omniscient.¨ They moved through the crowd, matching up partners ¨ . In this sentence it says ¨ They ¨ which is used from a 3rd person point of view. ¨She hasn't studied yet¨. In this sentence, it describes that the narrator knows the feelings of the characters. These quotes show that this story is a 3rd person POV.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of the story is Harry Potter. Harry is a nice kid who uses spells. He has black hair and he also wears glasses. Also his friend Ron was saying," Harry is a smart kid. He is better than me at everything". That shows that Harry is smart and he is respected by others. He is in almost all of the scenes and he is the one who solves everything.
