Making Predictions: Drew plays a basketball game against the team the bully is on. So, he starts to think what if he embarrasses him and he gets mad at him and beats him up. So he starts to play terribly. On page 132 it states ¨ I felt sluggish and everything I did was wrong.....It was like my whole life was going down the drain.¨ I think drew is going to play way better after this and scores the game winner to win.

Making Connections: I made a connection with this book that the character is expected to do well and lead the team. This connects to me because in my soccer team I also get expected to give assists and score goals once in a while. On page 14 ¨ Which means that our guards are going to have to set them up, and pick up the number of assists. The player in this story is expected to assist more players.

SETTING: Drew lives in a city where crime is common. It is 126th street and Lenox Avenue. ¨Two boys, boys who should have been in school, attempted to hold up the store......the two youth shot at the policeman.¨ This shows that this book's setting is in a dark scary Lenox Avenue that the kids here has a mentality that crime is okay and can easily try to kill someone.
