I'm already starting to see why this the less popular between the two of Hygge books published around the same time.

I picked up this book thinking I saw it mentioned before but it turns out there is another Danish Hygge book of an almost identical name and this is the non-viral one.

This one is definitely more philosophical. I'm so glad this is a library read because it's filled with seemingly mundane photos; just my kind of photography. I get it, we get it.

This better NYAT be a clean get away. Bunkers of men and women? And the guards have disappeared without a trace for 7 years? 🙄 Gimme something. They haven't even mentioned animals.

Just when I thought mood reading had won, shit got interesting. This little book really captures "don't ever let them know your next move" because I STILL can't guess the end. What is going on?? Where are they? The existence of another cabin was a shocker, but more than three???

What operation could matter so much to even do this, but also so little to completely abandon on such a scale?

I really admire my tenacity when it comes to holding onto a book I'm not feeling. It shouldn't take me this long to tackle less than 200 pages, damn. Mood reading is mental illness.

I haven't had much thoughts but things are going too well. There needs some conflict. 40 women cannot simply escape and that be it. I'm almost halfway... there's hope.

Reminder that I started this way earlier but forgot to log it. Also, I genuinely cannot fathom how this will end. Will they get out? Does she fall for a man? Do they all die in there?

And also the motive behind why these women (and girl) being down there at all is lost on me. Feeding them, semi-clothing them, but not touching them is throwing me off.

I'm on the skin chapter and I'm not sure what to think. Human are such ...sacks of flesh. Fixing fucked up flesh is so gruesome even in the smoothest and most successful of cases.

I'm pretty confident I'd finish it. I've already read so much I've never heard about and she's a little funny.

There's no telling if I finish this in my planned time frame. Future me, take note.

It's such a short read that the progress flew by in under an hour. I don't feel particularly attached or strongly about any character. I am wondering when the little girl is going to stop competing with the umbrellata for houseplant supremacy though

I don't really know what to expect. Is this going to be something scary? Will the mistress turn out to be something she's not?

Wait, who was going to tell me that Zlib's recommendations are on point.

It's both what I did and didn't expect. Valeria is a little repeatative but that not a big deal. I keep lulling between boredom and intrigue.

52 Book Club Prompt #12: A genre-defining read. And the genre? Fresh radical feminism.

Right now, I'm not feeling too strongly about it in either direction. The rating is a mystery but I don't think Valeria gets enough credit in RF spaces, despite walking so Andrea could run. Kim Jiyoung: Born 1984 would also be great for this prompt.

Idk why there's no copy without that introduction. Noone is about to tell me what to make of this before I read it myself 😒 If I wanted an introduction I'd read the reviews!

Lexi is an absolute doormat, and everyone in this book is really ass. Still, Eric is at the bottom of the ass totem pole despite the book trying its hardest to convince me otherwise. Again, can Jon die? Fi too.

I hate Jon. Jon needs to die. And I would be so disappointed if SK leans into making him "win". She's lucky I love her because I can't stand reading a love triangle/second interest. What makes it worse is how slimy his ass is! I don't care what they [allegedly] did together. Forcing her to remember is just harassment. And I'm supposed to hate Eric for being a tight-ass neat freak? Eric, get behind me!

Two things are certain in this world; that we're all going to die and that a SK book will have me laughing from the start.

My most read author. These books hit me like crack in the 80s. I wanna drop all my current reads, go back to my roots and fall into a guaranteed good one in her honour.

First Maru, now Sophie. I need cancer to wipe out some evil people before Saturday to restore the balance. We're losing legends while vermin are rich and healthy.

Current favourite: "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?" from Hindi. It's more philosophical than "if a tree falls in the forest and noone hears it, does it make a sound?" because it questions the value in doing anything for yourself.

I know I'm supposed to be against the Superior Sister but I kind of respect her commitment. If you're gonna be the sadistic, torturous Head of a religious dystopian cult, you gotta run a tight ship. I mean...
