They finish up their walk and they think of getting a dog, also meet the sons best friend DJ, the sons name is Russel, he was named after his friend, DJ's dad. and DJ was named after Russel's dad David James

His dad and comes home from his shift and him and his son have breakfast together. Most times they then lay down and sleep, others they go for a walk.

The salty Paramedic is a fire medic and goes through how to cope and talk through times when a first responded witnesses something tragic. Personally I've seen some not so good things and I'm certain that there will be more of it. This book was amazing and after each chapter there is a small section for you to write down an answer to a question at the end of the chapter.

Just talks about more firefighters that are in very tight and stressful situation, some fall through roofs, buildings, get stuck in a basement, etc.

The man tells a bunch of short stories of different fires he has been on. Especially how important the Nozzle and getting to a fire first in your first due district.

One guy used to be a cop and now he's a firefighter, he has a lot of respect for the higher ups because they all go into a fire first, he found out that once you reach capital or LT. you are the first person in the fire if your first due.

They go into a little meadow to escape the fire, one of their new guys is only a month out of high school and wanted an adrenaline rush, thats why he joined.

They describe how a normal fire reacts and there are a bunch of hotshots that are digging a fire line in a danger zone, they believe they can still fight and stop the fire.

They dispatched a few dozers to help dig a trench, but a new guy couldnt get up a small hill and now they have to make up for what they lost.

There is a bunch of new wild land firefighters who are in Wymoning who were just introduced to the job.

The firefighter was searching for people when it started to get very hot, when trying to find an exit he got caught trying to dive down some stairs. After many weeks in the hospital an burn center he made a full recovery.

The firefighters arrive of a plane in the water, they extricate an older women who they later befriend and still talk to this day. The firefighter was awarded the highest award that can be given in all of FDNY. They are now being dispatched to a power plant explosion.

He made it out alive although was in the hospital for weeks and eventually made a full recovery after ten months. Another firefighter in NYC just got dispatched to a plane wreck with people in the water.

A firefighter in Boston was fighting a fire for 7 hours and tragically lost one of his guys. A few days later his neighbors house caught fire and he ran in to save her mother.

Shea starts to remember what happened on 9/11 and keeps trying to remember more.

Firefighter Shea is the only firefighter that survived from his company and is worried that he was a firefighter in a picture just standing looking at the chaos, because he cant remember his memory

14 Wildland firefighters died in a fire and the next chapter is about a firefighter who was the only one from their company that survived during 9/11.

There was a group of people who banned together to kill and injure lots of SS guards and important people

The Allies made the D-Day raid in France and Germany is making its final efforts to kill as many people as they can in France

The American Red cross came to inspect a camp although the Germans knew about this and prepared themselves. Instead of revealing what their camps are really like they fed the people well, and made the camp look neat.

Germany went further into Europe and continued to kill more and more people without anyone knowing

A 15 year old girl was beaten while not giving info to the Nazis. It goes over all the concentration camps and which one were death camps and which ones were labor camps. The Holocaust killed millions of people and was a mass tragedy.

He gives more examples of scenarios and how to respond to them

Dwight gave a question, then a very good answer to the question that we can use as a example. Then he explained what to have in it and any other advice he has for us. The questions were "Tell us about yourself, Why do you want to be a firefighter. Why do you want to work for the America Town Fire Department. What is the Job of a firefighter." All these are questions to let the panel know who you are as a person.

Dwight gave us some examples for questions and how they should look in an interview setting. They were why do you want to become a firefighter? And Tell us about yourself? The second question isn't made to brag about all your certifications, but build a relationship with the panel members so they can relate to you more easily. The First one was about your history and story about wanting to be a firefighter and why.
