Some early morning reading I guess lol…

Milton Friedman, the evil man that u are

The first few chapters are based on large parties & lots of socialising with others. Drunk and unpleasant socialising. Reading this as an (somewhat) introvert who has a distaste for being in environments where no one actually gets along naturally, I’m tired hahahaha.

But it is good! And enjoyable! Will try and finish today :D

Umm so I picked this up, read the first few pages. The tone and style of writing, and his convictions were disagreeable. I dug a little deep and he is right wing (albeit against Donald trump) and a genocide denier 😃 and his Twitter is umm.. 😟 so moral of the story: research the author before u buy a book 😃

Just finished part 1 in like a day/2 -I’m really enjoying it!! But I didn’t expect Ed to be so… American hahaha

Just finished chapter - Being Muslim and Being British: The Dynamics of Islamic Reconstruction in Bradford
much more detailed and better than I was so expecting haha. talks about deobandis, barelvis , jamaat-e-islam movements(?). actually explains them quite well lol. The chapter talks about how these movements first shaped how islam looked in Bradford (e.g. mosques, teachers) & the future (now older lol) generation
