Well I'm glad it wasn't everyone's obvious suspect b/c I didn't think that person was bad...but the real person? Mehhhh but I could be wrong

My theories at this point:
-the shooter was Cutter & Cutter is Deb's son. Not Ethan since there were 3 shots ie one shot was Ethan
-Cutter is also the abductor. He's kidnapped Becky for years
- the woman in the snow is Becky or her unnamed daughter

But what happened to Josie & Ethan unless Josie is the woman in which case, where's Becky???

Each chapter is a different narrative and it's pretty chaotic. I have 2 theories about who the abductor/kidnapped woman are

Did not know we were going to Moscow. So many cameos from characters in book 1, I wish I remembered everyone!

And lots of mentions of characters from book 2 and coming in books 4 and 5. Love when authors do that in series!

Not understanding why Amy is choosing to drive to another state to hunt various motels in a town in the middle of nowhere to find a guy that dumped her nearly two years ago... why not just look up his nearest ambulance and go back to sleep?

Do I believe that cousin is her mystery man? No.
Do I believe same cousin is the killer? Yep!

This is very obviously written in the 70s b/c in what other era could the word/title Lover be used so liberally? 😩😆
