The author has made Noah the fisherman a redhead for some reason and all I can think of every time Hazel comments on his sun-kissed skin is “OMG this guy is going to get skin cancer before he’s 30”
It’s really killing the vibe for me a bit

NGL so far I’m finding this a bit boring. Not bad, just… blah. Let’s hope it improves soon!

How much do I dislike this book, let me count the ways:
- multiple instances of info dump
- flat dialogue
- telling instead of showing
- impossibly trite inner dialogue on the part of the MC that really start grating after a bit. I really don’t enjoy the whole ingénue deal this long, it feels contrived
So this is goodbye, this isn’t worth getting into a slump

Wow, what a beautifully written, intriguing prologue.

I saw this as an ebook deal and did something I never do, which was to buy it without reading the synopsis. I thought “oh! Cute sapphic holiday rom com, gimme”
But I just don’t like either of these characters and I don’t think I can’t keep going to find out more without ending up in a slump 😕

Seriously though. As much as I as I love Delilah and Jackson (and I really do love them!), Adeline and Penelope are the stars of this show 😂😂😂

I didn’t think this book could get any better, but here it is, my favorite part. I love Jackson’s sisters not just to the moon and back but more to, like, Mars or even Venus

This MC is Harrow-coded and I love her, but my god, this is so overwritten and it’s more work to get through it than I wish it were.

I don’t understand what any of this stuff is.
I was excited to see a glossary but it’s more of a Dramatis Personae and doesn’t really define most of the made-up terms 🙈

This book is quite funny and I like all the characters so far! First Christmas book of the year is promising 😊

NGL, I’m a little lost. There is a lot of world building to memorize really quickly. But I quite like the premise and characters so I’m not too daunted

Rereading this post KPDM, I can’t stop picturing Caleb as a sweet Abby and Layla surreptitiously having popcorn eyes 😂😂😂😂

Skimmed ahead and the reveals are so disappointing and pasted together that I can’t do anything but roll my eyes.

I guess not all chances pan out. I think I’m officially done with this trilogy, for good.

Half-way through the second book and there’s been no real story development — just more of the same. There were a few surprising reveals and tense moments in the last 1/3 of the first book but other than that it’s just all the same over and over, with only a few minor tweaks.
Character development and relationship development has also barely progressed which makes me wonder WTH is the point of the story
