The suspense to know who dies next keeps me reading !!

Love the balance between comedy, seriousness,& horror

This book gives me a bunch of vibes. From Disney’s a Haunted mansion, to the clue movie, to the glass onion series, to scooby doo lol, & (definitely not the last one but I have to end the analogy) the SaW movies. A little bit of everything & a bit predictable.

Hoping for a plot twist

Is the house haunted? Is Mortimer Queen really dead? Is the house haunted ”alive”? Who is Melanie to Mortimer?? Soo many questions in the 1st chapter.

Intrigued by the Margaret’s narrative to disrupt a common womans’ “normality” and yet her not understanding that’s the disconnect she is feeling.
