For some many reasons.

No words because I have too many of them.

Some of the antics in this book almost make it worth another star, but I just can't.

The way the author writes queerness feels insulting.

It's both of them or neither? Then why has Rick never gotten a POV yet? Why does it feel like the author is really only pushing Carl and Katie together?

It's giving fetishing queer relationships while performatively saying she's an ally.

She writes about balls the way cis men authors write about boobs.

Some of the dialogue is okay but then all of her millennial cringe sets in and I just can't.

Predictable.

Swearing doesn't make you edgy, it makes you sound like an elementary schooler who just learned the word fuck for the first time.

The subplot is more interesting than the main plot.

It feels very fetishizing of bi-men, falling into the "all bisexual people and ravenous and horny all the time."

I feel more like I want someone to hit me over the head with a wrench so I don't have to continue reading.

Some of his stories are five stars and others are three stars.

I can confidently say that if anyone has earned the title of angry atheist then it is Harlan Ellison.

I am in a hell of my own creation reading this.

The quirky, 'I'm not like other girls' is genuinely the most bearable out of the three main characters. It's like if you let Disney write smut.
