Oh my poop

I love how oppressive the language feels interspersed with the use of diminutive words! I’m curious to know how it translates, I might pick up an English copy someday and see the difference

Goodreads surprisingly doesn’t have the edition I’m reading, so this is what I’ve got

Such a missed opportunity to not have the spy be a member of the main cast, coward move

It’s starting to get interesting and it only took almost 400 pages! I swear if I didn’t enjoy the first book i would’ve dnfed this without intention of ever returning to it at the 100-200 page mark

When will it start getting good man

Something that really bothers me is how every other sentence is exposition we learned in the first one, like omg yes recap the first book to me for the 70th please 🥰 does mister Sanderson think that people will be reading his books out of order? Or do people do that? Idk

Feels a little clunkier than I remember, I like originally started this last summer and I’m starting over now but that’s something that sticks out to me the same scenes feel clunkier one year apart

This is starting to get interesting and I hope it stays that way I’ve been reading so many disappointing books I’m considering going back to Quiet Flows The Don 😭 again 😭

Not as zany as I thought this would be … frowns

The prose in this book is so purple it’s really taking me out sometimes, take for example:

“The alleyway was lit by oily slicks of light and pops of effervescence from the overhead starbursts.” Like???

Unless this takes a turn and becomes something sooo amazing, this will be a low 3
