Eeee!! We got the first kissss 😝

I really really enjoy this series. It’s such an unexpected one I don’t hear talk about and that wasn’t on my TBR but I love the royal kingdom as the setting (my romantasy heart is soaring), I love how there’s never a dull moment and there’s action and tons happening straight from the get-go, and how Elisa isn’t a typical damsel in distress-she owns her power as Queen and isn’t afraid to. 😝

I really really enjoy this book. It is very difficult to read about the heavy topics but I love how much thought was put into showcasing reality. Alice Walker did amazingly. 🥰

At first I was confused with the storyline and trying to keep track of the characters, but now it’s fairly easy to follow, and it’s entertaining! Not only that, but it is very effective in showing the historical accuracy of what African Americans used to suffer through. I love the resilience in the characters that is shown as well.

Just can’t put the book down 😭

The world building so far is what has my attention the most. Even though it’s complex, the plot is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I can feel the tension building up and I’m excited to see where it leads! Although I wish there was a bit more romance at this point 😔

I don’t know how this book is this good when I feel like the main adventure hasn’t even begun but I absolutely love it and all the world building! I’m so sad about who’s died already tho-I was NOT expecting that. 😭

Oh my gosh I’m only on page 24 and I already love it and can tell it’s going to be my new favorite series!😍This is my first Sarah J Maas book and I’m so excited!
