I am pleasantly surprised. High stakes and funny and I’m only 10% in.

Cute little relatable moments…but also moments that absolutely track with the authors choices. Interesting.

This is as fun as running uphill.

This is funny, a little relatable, but nothing I’m picking up at the moment is keeping my attention.

This series is proof that “fun” counts as a reading goal 👽 💙🚀

This book has had me hooked since the start.

I can’t help but feel like I’m saying goodbye to some old friends as I approach the end of this book. It is so lovely, and the characters are charming and wonderful. I’m genuinely sad about saying goodbye to them, the aquarium and the sleepy small seaside town.

“Humans. For the most part, I tolerate them.” Same Marcellus. Same.

Really enjoying this so far, not at all what o expected but in the best way!

A lot of relatable moments here, but I’m wishing there were higher stakes to this story.

20% in and I’m Not Jessica Chen is already serving the all-too-familiar dish of parental disappointment. Love that for me.😩🫠

I’m so sad that I’m almost done with this book. Already it feels like I’m holding my breath for what’s to come. I’m not ready to part with these characters.

Endearing and sweet! Bk Borison is such a wonderful writer!

I desperately wish goodreads let us use memes or pictures. I think the author is aiming for dangerous and intimate, but the writing feels overly done and melodramatic. Anytime the MMC has an inner monologue (something like “violence has always been my peace”) I’m internally cringing “okay Shakespeare of the underworld, please effing relax”. I actually hate it here.
