The concept of a lesbian popular girl (that wasn’t closeted like most show tropes) was actually unheard of in my Highschool times (which was 6 years ago mind you LOL)

Have to interject (I love this story so far it’s fun and appropriate for high schoolers and we need queer stories like this for the teens!!) BUT I find it hilarious that these girls are grilling her for being drunk at a dry party yet they’re not worried about the illegal tattoo artist giving tats to an entire party of minors which is illegal and also evident since it’s on their bodies LMFAO what?

I have mixed feelings. Like would I have been interested in there being a present example to the misogyny of Greek life on a more systematic basis and how fraternities often control the way under which sororities operate, therefore making the cannibalism I revenge give even more weight , YES.

Ok so need to add this note. I don’t know how a book manages to both move too fast and slow at the same time but here we are. Halfway and no truly clear plot. Like what is happening.

No like holy shit the references to present topics is so off-putting when used so superficially.

Ok here’s my criticism thus far. So far the book is too ‘real’ way too much references to the kind of shit you see on tik tok and while I kind of get that’s the point, it’s kinda too on the nose sometimes – whereas I was looking forward to more world building elements even if it’s contemporary you know? I guess I should known by the books title that it would be heavily referency

It’s going slow because the writing style (the unnecessary interjections using the m—dash) are genuinely annoying as fuck and make it so you have to read a sentence 2 times to remember the original point. It just doesn’t flow. FUCK!
