Definitely trying too hard to be quirky with the "witty" robot banter, but I'll try to stop being so grumpy and just enjoy the ride.

I'm genuinely enjoying this... it's best taken in small doses, and I disagree with lots of it, but I actually do like it!

I thought Empire of Black and Gold and City of Last Chances were both very dull, but the Children of Time trilogy is one of my favourites. The ones I didn't like were both fantasy, and Children of Time and this one are both sci-fi, so I hope I just don't like Tchaikovsky's fantasy and all his sci-fi works are awesome...
