What an absolutely stunning issue. The themes of religious guilt is something that always hits for me. I also love pairing a superhero who seeks vigilante justice with a character who doesn’t seek it out, but feels forced to take it. Such a well-written tragedy and by far my favorite issue to come from this run.

Fun issue. Daredevil and Moon Knight have a fun chemistry, love that fight in the arcade. Jester is a goofy villain, and I love when Moon Knight gets real comedic beats like the ending of this issue with Daredevil.

Super fun issue, i think it does well in showcasing that Moon Knight is willing to do some pretty intense stuff to get the job done. I also think his relationship with spiderman is really fun, though i suppose any character paired with spidey can be great.

This is the stuff I love from Loeb and Sale. The grief Cap gives himself about every mistake he made with Bucky, and his unwillingness to lose him. The artwork in this issue is also stunning and the colors are maybe the best I’ve ever seen from Loeb and Sale.

This issue doesn’t feel like it explores quite a heavy hitting themes for me as some of other works by Loeb and Sale, but I think it is still very enjoyable. I love the Cap narration, especially the line “As soon as you lay down with the dogs you wake up with fleas”

The art is so beautiful, i can’t get over it, it especially lends itself to the environment and time that this story takes place. Cap, Bucky, and the Howling Commandos have a really engaging dynamic that I love.

I think it’s a good premise switching between after and before cap was frozen. I think the messaging of grief, regret, and things unsaid also fits within the story very well.

Cap and Bucky always had a dynamic I really enjoyed ever since I was a kid and watch Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes. The art and color in this issue is gorgeous and the explanation for allowing Bucky to serve as Cap’s sidekick works for me.

So good, Ozymandias trying to mirror the journey if Alexander the Great is such amazing motivation. The twist “I did it thirty-five minutes ago” is just as phenomenal as it was hyped up to be.

I knew about Viedt being the one orchestrating everything already, but that doesn’t remove the mystery of why for me. I do think it’s super interesting his setup and the strategy he utilizes to profit in this world.

Getting Laurie’s story is really compelling, and I can really feel her frustration as the story goes on with the revelation of her mother’s relationship with Comedian, and her frustration with trying to convince Jon that humanity is worth saving.

The prison break is so good. Rorschach reminds me so much of Moon Knight which I love. These characters are written so well I was distraught with what happened to Hollis.

Absolutely loving this approach of taking a character exploring their psyche and then including a relevant “excerpt” (usually metaphorical) at the end of the issue. Nite Owl is so well written, his yearning for the old days is so understandable, and well written. Gets me very excited for what is to come.

Walter Kovacs is an extremely interesting character. I like the inclusion that he was the End is Nigh guy I think that is really fun, but his backstory is horrific. Really hard stuff to stomach, i think it makes perfect sense that he would become Rorschach after discovering the girl who had been butchered and fed to the dogs. I love my mentally unstable characters.

There is such a depth and mystery to a character like Doc Manhattan that is endlessly fascinating to explore. The idea of living in every moment of time is so interesting, yet still unimaginable for me and I love the thought of it.

The reveal of the negative effects of having Doc Manhattan around is very good, but even better is the consequences of not having him around. Just a wonderfully written character.

Feels foolish to reiterate but the art, storytelling, and world-building is outstanding. I also live for the excerpts from Nite Owls book, there is just such great prose to them. I love the gritty reality of it all and how similar to our own world it feels. I have often heard that The Boys is peoples go-to for how superheroes would be in our world, but this feels more in line.

Just an absolute blast to read. Kingpin and Kilgrave are both great antagonists that I have only come to enjoy more, especially after their appearances in the Netflix Defenders shows. I think all these characters are just really fun to see team up and this issues, while mainly revolving around Daredevil and Spider-man, gives each of them a moment to shine.

I wish we’d see this side of Marc more often. His breakdown as he starts to believe that everything was all in his head. I like when the comics keep Khonshu’s existence ambiguous and don’t downright confirm whether it’s all in Marc’s head. The ending with Marlene not telling Steven whether or not the statue is a replica, or even if it was made before or after his breakdown, is gold.

This is the stuff I love to see. I love Marlene reiterating that nobody can be sure if Marc really was revived with the soul of the Moon God, but all she knows is that he believes that’s the case. In saying this she also points out the fragility of his mental state and ‘schizophrenia’. I like bringing back Midnight Man especially with his now burned face. Really great stuff.

Shocked that this is my favorite thing from “The Court of Owls Saga”. I think the story of a citizen of Gotham trying to repay Batman back for something that he probably barely recalls is really interesting. I thought this issue was really well written.

I think it’s a good decision adding some doubt to Lincoln’s claim of being Bruce’s brother, that is what I was hoping they’d do. The stuff with Alfred’s father feels like a very random inclusion, but I don’t think it’s bad. I do think Lincoln’s Iron Man Talon suit is bad though.

I think it’s easy to predict Lincoln being the big bad, but I think the reveal is handled well anyway. I do think it would be far better if Lincoln was lied to and isn’t actually Bruce’s brother. Almost done with the Court of Owls saga and all I can really muster is that I found it pretty disappointing? For a story that feels so hyped up, I am pretty bummed with how sloppy it all feels to me.

Very cool issue, love seeing Bruce use everything as his disposal fighting the Talons. Lincoln’s death, if he’s really dead, is upsetting because their dynamic was one of my favorite things to come out of the first few issues.
