The way the mystery is unraveling is fantastic. Julian Day insistence that Calendar Man not be forgotten, Alberto laced with fear toxin in his cigarettes, and how Two Face connects to it all. The reveal that Porter was clearly in love with Harvey before he married Gilda was also super cool and how Harvey immediately kills her because he loves Gilda.

Put Two Face in a courtroom scene and it’s a recipe for gold. I love how they really reiterate that Harvey is a genius mastermind. Also the font switch when he goes from Two Face to Harvey is so cool.

I appreciate how clear it is that Bruce was not the right guy to foster Dick. Dick needed someone to talk to, but Bruce offered him vengeance.

The parallels of Bruce and Dick are so well done. The panels reflecting their own identical experiences after losing their parents is wonderful. The moment where Alfred has a 2nd chance to do for Dick what he failed to do for Bruce is phenomenal.

The way The Joker is designed and behaves is my favorite. The tension of knowing what is about to occur at the circus is amazing.

The courtroom scene of Harvey and Calendar Man is unbelievable. I love not knowing whether or not Calendar Man was about to spill to Harvey that Gilda was actually Holiday, and whether Harvey already knows. It’s great that Harvey saves Gordon, unknown if it’s to clear his own name, or because it’s his old friend, or maybe both.

Jim’s realization that he let a friend go who is a match for the targets of the Hangman is well done. I also love the mystery as to Harvey’s plan with all these villains, and how he is almost a puppet master to them all.

I love this mystery as to whether or not Carmine is still alive, and the reveal that Porter’s partner was Two Face. Bruce and Selina’s complicated relationship is always easy to fall into.

I adore the relationship of Grundy, Harvey, and Bruce, and the connection Bruce made about all of them sinking into caves, and how he laments the decision and how his parents would feel about it.

Love the part that Sofia plays in this comic. And the “haunting” of Alberto is fun to delve into.

The mystery of this comic I find to be debatably more intriguing than Long Halloween. I think the Hangman clues are definitely a factor in that, but it also helps that this is working off of what happened in Long Halloween.

Love how much they are able to fit into this issue. Sofia’s grudge against Harvey and the physical consequences she is living with are very interesting. It’s interesting to see Alberto gets set free after being judged as having his civil rights violated by Batman. The Arkham break-in and the planning on who is set free is also super cool.

I love the idea of the DA recognizing that Batman taking vigilante justice violated Alberto’s civil rights. I think this is a really good introduction including the mourning of Harvey and who he has become.

I love the hunt for Harvey. But the standout moment from this issue is Harvey’s conversation with Solomon Grundy about if a man can truly come back.

The lead-up to the origins of Two Face is so wonderful. From being handed the “ulcer medicine” to Harvey then later implying he didn’t even know about an ulcer, the tension of knowing what is about to happen. I love this character.

The conversations involving Harvey, Bruce, and Jim are always so well done. I especially love the panels each showing one half of Harvey’s face. It’s a recurring motif and perhaps an obvious one, but I am a sucker for it.

It’s cool how they aren’t afraid of having Bruce be vulnerable when it comes to his parents. Sal’s father being a victim is good development and I love the further we get to Harvey’s inevitable fate of becoming Two Face

Love that even the Riddler can’t figure it out. And this rift between Harvey and Bruce forming as they suspect one another. Ending with the killer pulling a joke and not killing on April Fools.

I think it’s very cool having an issue focusing on the relationships of Bruce, Harvey, and Gordon. I am also always impressed with how many villains are fit into this comic. It truly is the best comic when it comes to introducing someone to Batman. You get a bit of everything.

Loeb and Sale write a draw a version of the Joker that I so desperately wish we saw more in other media. Bewilders me that no live action Batman has properly captured this Joker when so many take inspiration from this very comic. I love the line Joker treads between ridiculous and terrifying and the way he is drawn perfectly exemplifies that. Him singing Christmas songs and being intelligent is a need.

I think whenever a character is revealed to be wearing a mask disguising themself as another person that is ends up being a tad bit too ridiculous for me. I love the push of Harvey’s leniency to bend the law and ignore it to suit his endeavors.

Been a while since I read this. Two Face will always be my favorite batman villain and I love this comic for that reason. I love how Tim Sale plays with shadows in art. The Falcones and Maronis have never been favorites of mine but I think this comic simplifies that family enough that I can get on board with it. Good introduction to the trio of Harvey, Batman, and Gordon.

I really like this Moon Knight mystery. It is interesting where you can see where the inception of his DID slowly take shapes with losing himself in his many identities. Having an imposter Moon Knight is interesting especially since it’s something that has cropped back up recently. I like that MK continues to have beefs with werewolves. Although I do wish they would phase out his wolf-moon powers faster.

These Hulk issues seems weirdly named since he down appear and isn’t mentioned, and I am really curious as to the reasoning behind that, but the story with Moon Knight definitely makes up for it. I think the continuing story of the Horus mystery is very engaging, and I love seeing how his different identities were portrayed behind definitively becoming DID.

I love these small little team ups they were doing to try and get people invested in Moon Knight. I think MK had more chemistry with Spider-man but him and Thing fighting a Crossfire who is a man from Marc’s CIA background is fun backstory.
