Okay, I was wrong, it hasn't been 7 years since the story of the first book, but rather 12 YEARS! But anyway, Alex barely showed up and I'm already head over heels for him. If he's anything like Cassius, he's going to win me over in no time. And this thing with Hanna, I swear I didn't see that coming.

WAIT, WHAT????? Guys, I am shocked by the end of chapter five. I don't even know what to say, I'm just in shock.

My God, only now did I remember how much Camille annoyed me in the first book, but here it's even worse. I'm missing Annaleigh and Cassius a bit, even though this book is about Verity; I hope they show up at least a little bit.

Finally, after months of wanting to read this book, I now have a physical copy.

What shocks me is that SO MANY years have passed since the story of the first book; now the older sisters even have kids, oh I really want to see Annaleigh and Cassius's child 🥺

To my surprise, the book was good, even though I didn't have much faith in it at first because it was so short.

I'm going to read this book just to hit my monthly goal. From what I've seen, it's part of a series and can be read as a standalone, so that's why I'm reading it. I don't have the other books on my Kindle, and it's short, and since it can be read as a standalone, it's great for reading in a single day.

I guess poetry just isn't for me; unfortunately, it was my worst read of the year so far.

GUYS??????? Not only was I wrong about who the killer was, my jaw is on the floor! I am speechless.

NOW I'M UNDERSTANDING EVERYTHING! Freida is so good at psychological thrillers that I myself didn't notice a small detail and had to go back a few chapters to see that I had really missed something.

Did Tom kill Bonnie???? He killed his father, I believe it was Slug who made Alison disappear, and when he took Sydney to the building, he went pale and nearly got sick. Something is wrong, very wrong.

Did Tom do what I think he did??? I don't even know who to trust anymore, everyone is becoming a suspect to me, even Jake.

Why is even Jake making me suspicious?? Soon enough I'll start suspecting my own shadow.

This Tom is very suspicious, help. But I can't bring myself to trust either Daisy or Alison, either. The more I read, the more theories keep coming up.

Maybe I'm crazy, MAYBE, but with these Tom POVs, I'm starting to suspect this so-called Slug. Like, these POVs serve some kind of purpose, and I'm already having my suspicions.

I don't know, this Tom gave off major Killian Carson vibes from God of Malice… I don't even know who to trust in this book anymore. Kevin was really no good, and something tells me he's going to show up again, because there's no way he just vanished.

Is it too early to say that I don't trust any man in this book after just a few pages, or am I hallucinating? Because right off the bat, I was suspicious of Kevin, and I’m keeping a very close eye on this “mysterious man.”

I finished The Cruel Prince and now I'm dying to know what happens in the next books, and I don't have paperback of them nor can I start another ebook right now, but what a great book!

OH MY GOD, FINALLY!!!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS! The crumbs of romance are finally coming, and I feel so sorry for Cardan. He may have been kind of cruel from the beginning, but he already had me wrapped around his finger.

Aaron Warner is simply perfect, I just can't! My number one spot for favorite book boyfriends is getting crowded because of how many I put in first place since I can't choose. And I simply love Kenji too.

I simply don't know who to trust in this book anymore. I think Dain's spies are trustworthy, but what Cardan said about Dain… could he perhaps be the only trustworthy one in this royal family? Dear Lord…

Six chapters in and still no explanation about the bargain, or I accidentally skipped some part, which is very unlikely to have happened. Some things have been left unexplained, I'm feeling a lack of world-building, and I wanted to see more of the Hollow Court. And I also wanted to know what Zorya writes so much in this ledger. Some things I even understand are so she doesn't forget.

This book has a somewhat confusing story. When I seem to understand something, I stop understanding something else. I'll try to finish it later.

I don't know if it's because this book is short, but I feel like the beginning is a bit rushed and I'm not understanding anything about the situation. It's not even because it's in English, since I'm fluent in English, but like, out of nowhere a bargain right in the first few chapters, without explaining why Zorya makes the reports or the reason for the multiple stones—kind of confusing, to be honest. I wasn't going to read any book with over 50 pages right now at the end of the month, but I got this one for free on Kindle recently and fell in love with the cover, so I really wanted to read it.

I thought it was cute, but very rushed. I really wanted to see more of Harper and Jade.

For the first time, I'm reading a book where a character has the same fear as me. I'm shocked at how Harper, just like me, is afraid of butterflies (in my case, it's a phobia).
