Six chapters in and still no explanation about the bargain, or I accidentally skipped some part, which is very unlikely to have happened. Some things have been left unexplained, I'm feeling a lack of world-building, and I wanted to see more of the Hollow Court. And I also wanted to know what Zorya writes so much in this ledger. Some things I even understand are so she doesn't forget.

I don't know if it's because this book is short, but I feel like the beginning is a bit rushed and I'm not understanding anything about the situation. It's not even because it's in English, since I'm fluent in English, but like, out of nowhere a bargain right in the first few chapters, without explaining why Zorya makes the reports or the reason for the multiple stones—kind of confusing, to be honest. Other than that

I wasn't going to read any book with over 50 pages right now at the end of the month, but I got this one for free on Kindle recently and fell in love with the cover, so I really wanted to read it.
