Ok so I’m absolutely fascinated with this story. I guess technically this is considered one book, but it is split up into three “books” which are effectively the three acts. I’m saying this because I was planning on just finishing “book 1” and moving onto a totally different novel but I’m so fascinated that I blew past book 1 and am a good ways into book 2 now. How did I not know that Murakami existed??

Can’t do it. Idk I just don’t love it, gave it a good ~20% and I just really don’t wanna keep reading. Maybe I’ll pick it up again down the road but I just really couldn’t fall into it. Idk I I feel like the protagonist is kinda an idiot and I was having a hard time rooting for him in any way. Just a stuck up rich kid who feels like he’s owed everything. Wasnt vibing w the writing overall.
