Re-reading an old favorite, can't wait to see if I still love it as much

Can't overstate how beautiful Avignon is, I just want to go back 🥲
I'm sure there is a lot of symbolism that I'm missing, I really need to refresh my knowledge of demonology

Really digging this, love that it reads like a collection of small and somewhat self contained stories (it reminds me a little of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, probably my favorite Narnia book as a child! Obviously very different but the structure is similar)

It's extremely short so I will probably finish it, but it's not great unfortunately

I've seen a lot of people describe it as "what if Dark Souls was a book," but idk it reminds me more of the video game adaptation of Dante's Inferno

Will finish it but unfortunately it doesn't do much for me

There is something very charming about an American author injecting a bit of French flavor to their worldbuilding and naming their main character Guy

Really digging it so far, getting lots of Serge Brussolo vibes!
