How is Frankenstein smart enough to create life but not smart enough for pattern recognition… the monster keeps killing his loved ones instead of going after him, how was he not predicting this goal/outcome? Surely he should have given Elizabeth the weapons not himself…or at least one?

Also the story within a story within a story is annoying me (we lose the ability to differentiate what is reflective narration vs accurate real-time raw narration)

How is he both altruistic (giving them wood and not taking their food) but then also threatens violence on innocent people? It’s not consistent… he’s unnaturally sophisticated in some things and not at all in others and it seems completely random and lacking logic

I’m getting a little oversaturated with ‘majestic nature’ references … and also it makes no sense that the creature know the names for sparrows and blackbirds…I’m annoyed at the lack of logic/consistency
