How is Frankenstein smart enough to create life but not smart enough for pattern recognition… the monster keeps killing his loved ones instead of going after him, how was he not predicting this goal/outcome? Surely he should have given Elizabeth the weapons not himself…or at least one?

How is he both altruistic (giving them wood and not taking their food) but then also threatens violence on innocent people? It’s not consistent… he’s unnaturally sophisticated in some things and not at all in others and it seems completely random and lacking logic
