Same book, different POV but not different enough!

Struggling at 36% to enjoy ANY of these characters and I enjoy books about witches the most. DNF

I am having a hard time committing to read this for some reason?!

Dnf 30% too slow and I hate all the characters

Struggling with this one - after reading the 1st 2 books from Angelfall and the Fever series, this book is a very poor substitute.

I just have to say at this point I am absolutely horrified, if you have read it you know where I'm at...I can't look!

So far so good, truly having a hard time putting this down!

I'm just not sure I can finish this book. I really wanted to like this one :( Main issue for me so far is that the female mc is a bully too. She goes away for a year (we don't follow her or the bully for that year) then she comes back a completely different person & while I'm sure the author meant for us to be empowered by the transformation all I feel is bewildered.

Is there a new God awful trend by authors where they keep repeating a phrase? I just read a book where the female mc kept repeating the phrase "sit still, look pretty" whenever she felt dismissed by the opposite sex, and she felt that way a lot. This author is doing the same thing with the phrase, "Isn't it time you fought back?" It's making me feel violent!

At 21% I was ready to call it quits. Because my favorite reviewer rated it very high (and she is pretty true even when she gets an ARC) I made myself push through and I'm so glad! I really am enjoying it at the 50% mark.

This is a nasty, dirty book & I am in heaven!

Somewhere along the 40% mark this book got really good! Kind of a slow start but you need all of the beginning to love the middle. I love me some fucked up love.

No more talk about rations, the specifics of rations and how they came to be...please! Mind numbing.

Honestly there are so many characters to keep track of I'm finding it difficult to sink my teeth into it. Where all the previous books had a lot of people we still had the main core group and mostly told thru Meg and Simon. This book is equally distributed to all the characters even the side ones and I am finding that I don't enjoy it very much. Not much happening in Lakeside

Ugh, I was soon excited after reading the teasers but I'm getting frustrated that this is another mediocre read so far. The female mc is not acting/reacting like someone would act/react to someone who is supposed to be so evil.

OK, the h is very "poor me" which I find annoying. Hope she perks up and develops another dimension.

I couldn't love Layla more, even the stupid name won't distract me!

Oh yeah, I think this is gonna work & now I'm ticked that I started the book because I absolutely HATE waiting for the next book.

Still on page 81, can't muster up any desire to delve into it. I may pick it up again and try to get to 50% but it's difficult when an author doesn't stay true to the characters. I feel like I already know what's going to happen and not in a good anticipatory way :(

Damn it, this book was doing so well at 1st. Now the junkie has become the Dominate and the main male MC is acting more wishy washy although still psycho. I'm starting to mistrust all who reviews books that get an ARC and leave an honest review. I follow a couple of reviewers that I believe leave honest reviews but that seems rare lately.
