take a shot whenever she says salt. or palimpsest. or repast.
the concept is cool but oh my god shut up. this reads like a campfire story a child is dead set on convincing you is true

the woman on the dunes is still my fav but this girl is perverted i love u ms nin. tell me why every french person is a cuck

so john is god cuz he became a lyctor against mother earth ?? i think. idk what shes cooking but she certainly is

dulcinea i will always love u. this book is the gift that keeps on giving. i knew there was love at the bottom of it all; feinted as self preservation but thats love if ive ever seen it

pop quiz what kind of hanky flagging does nav do ?

dear god i love these lesbians most captivating characters ever I Get It. there is a level of camp that im not sure is intended but then does drag care about what level of irony you pick ? theyre as harsh as They Would Be im in love

how spectacular it is to read my lesbian wife’s annotations about these impossible space dykes. tasmuir writes like gossip. great at painting a scene. hopefully we touch the stars soon

this guy loves a thesaurus

life flourishes once more in the kingdom of jocasta

everyones just searching for a cross to carry. absolutely sickening one-two punch of scenes for jude. he can still go fuck himself but man what a character. remember the ram, remember to feel sorry

we’re doing the “oh he’s challenged it doesn’t matter that he’s weird” thing. a little tired. summer drags on but then isn’t that the point

lipseth my beloved youre too good for this world. almost all the characters lie so thoroughly to themselves that their inner world becomes their outer experience. genuinely psychotic. also jude can go fuck himself i guess ?

it reads like a story being told by a child in an incredible way. the dryness makes me want to believe every word, so it always hits when she shows the gore beneath the surface. i feel like these people are sharks, in that their capacity for viciousness doesn’t come from hate because it couldn’t. they’re so plain and dogmatic that they’re not evil, they just. are.

my boys are in danger !!

AR the kinda guy to write bullshit like behold the wedding gun and then turn it into peak ten pages later

sun stealer sun stealer sun stealer
he’s in the city she’s in the ship ! i’m not sure i like this !

alastair if you say six seven again I’m Going To Fucking Find You
got the lowdown on some space-age races, as well as some really cool narrative on what the shrouders are. also ilia and khouri are both pointed towards dan now which is cool. AR loves nonlinearity which can be a bit disorienting but the way he smudges science and magic plays really well with the dreamy storytelling

“between the girls was an older woman, her face so colourless she might as well have been a lifesize origami toy, infolded, white and easily crushed.”
mr reynolds i promise it’s ok to jerk off before you start writing. that aside, three concurrent storylines with twenty years between each, there’s a celebrity assassin, a chainsmoking interstellar butch, and a nepo archaeologist with a jesus complex
