I started this out of curiosity...and I have mixed feelings about this reading.

The start was OK. We meet the characters and learn more bout their personnalities.
But now... I feel like it's goind round and round in circles with always the same scenes between Millie and Creed. She refuses to talk, he gets mad and leaves. She regrets...goes after him, refuses to talk...etc...

Hope more is going to happen soon.

I like it, a lot.
I'm slowly falling for them.

Florence might seem annoying because she wants to do things alone and doesn't know how to ask for help. But how can I blame her when she reminds me of myself soo much?
And Ben...he's so sweet.

A bit weird to read a very cute romance after a long time lost between pages of dark romances. But the change is really nice ;)

I'm intrigued.
Slow start but there is a nice potential.

A romance with ghosts...OK, let's try it!

My progression is slow because each time I try to read...my brain goes somewhere else.
Not much is happening, or it feels very classique.
If I could have more tension and angst in the next chapters, that'd be awesome.

I don't know how to DNF, I feel bad doing it. Moreover, I'm over the half so I'm going to finish it this weekend. This is my mission!!

Ok. It's a fun read but it lacks intensity, in my opinion.
I don't know...I miss something with this reading.

It's fun and entertaining, don't get me wrong. I just need more...especially when we over half of the book.

At this point, I can tell it's not going to do it for me.

Beautiful writing and lyrical worldbuilding.
But, I don't feel anything for the characters nor their story.

Arris could be interesting but he annoys me. His hormones seem to control him a lot.
And Demelza is a bit fade at the moment.

We're off to a good start.
I'm happy being back in a dystopie world. It feels like the good old times with Hunger Games, Divergent and Co.

The rythm is good ans I'm having fun follofwing Wren.
Very curious to see what comes next.

Not gonna lie...it might be a complicated read.
The writing is poetic. But, I have trouble getting invested in it.
It is beautiful and the descriptions are enchanting.

It's makes this story very poetic but I expect it to grip me, to have me invested. I'm not even 100 pages in so I'm gonna continue but...I pause a lot while reading :/

Oh I love it!!
I love seeing Kirill change thanks to Sasha, and him being completely lost because of it.
And Sasha...she's such a strong woman. She's definitely not the same weakling she was in the previous book.

I enjoyed seeing scenes that I knew from a different perspective.

For now...everything is calm or at least...I know something big is coming. Can't wait!!

Kirill is very intriguing. He's so cold and act like a robot. He seems so unaffected by everything.
I wanna shake him to see if he's really humain XD

I like Sasha. Nonetheless, I hope she'll become stronger.
I'd like to see her stand up to Kirill more.

Anyway, I'm having fun with these two. And I know Rina Kent will surprise me. Can't wait to read more!!

Meryn is a strong heroin, with quick the temper. And she's got a good reason for that...her wolf is not very friendly 😅
And she's unwillingly part od deadly trials. What could go wrong?

Always fun to read.
Rina Kent never disappoints on this.

But, for now, Anastasia and Knox are more like two horny teenagers than anaything else. Hope the story will lead to more next :)

This book is a lot political with everything with the khagan or with the different clans.
It's quite interesting to see all this.

But otherwise, it feels soo slow.

Trouble in paradise...Kyle really messed up with this one.
But let's see what is next.

Some recents events went too fast to have the impact they could've had but it's ok. I'm know what I'm going into with Rina Kent. And I'm enjoying every moment of it.

Part 1 - Done
OK, now that everything seems in place, I feel like we're going to leave the political aspect and all the court intrigues for something more.
The danger is near!!

I'm still curious so let's go!!

We haven't left the palace yet...but it's changing.

Things are happening so I'm curious.
It's still slow, in my opnion. I hope it'll start moving a bit more soon.

I wish I'd known sooner about how to read Empire of Storm and Tower of Danw in parallel. It might have made this reading easier.
Dont get me wrong, I like Chaol...but seeing in drowning in self pity is complicated ^^'

This book has been waiting for years in my TBR so it's time to read it!!

The suspense is killing me.
Like, everything seems fine...but, at the same time, I know Kyle is hiding things, the Irish mafia is a threat around them all...argh!! I need more info!!

Wow...this is such a fun read.
Rina Kent invites us in the mafia side, more specifically the Russian mafia...and I love what she did there.
You can feel the danger. Where the Elites were more refined and powerful men with lots of money. Here, we deal with more rugged men.

Rai and Kyle...they have history and it seems quite complicated between them. I like Rai and what she stands for.
Can't wait to read more!

I must admit I'm a bit lost between the different timelines and the time travels they've made...but I really enjoy being with these characters.
The main trio, Aaron, Joan and Nick have a piece of my heart.

The beginning is a bit slow but it's getting better. Can't wait to have more action now.

I wasn't expecting much of this book, of the Empire series, but damn...I'm having so much fun with these two.
Gwen is a bit naive and childish but hey, she's only 20 so nothing wrong here. And Nate...I like complicated men like him. Torn between duty and his desires.

Yep...I'm curious to see what surprises Rina Kent has for us in the second half of the book :)
