I like that this book just gets right into the story. Things are explained as the story goes, or with context. I’m only on chapter 3 right now, so I don’t have many thoughts on the story itself yet.

I’m officially half way through the book. It’s interesting enough to keep reading, but I don’t feel any attachment to any of the characters. Like I’m not really rooting for anyone, just kind of seeing where this is all going. At the bottom of the page, I feel like the description of the fight becomes very strange. It seems like details are being repeated one sentence after the other.

It’s not as bad with more context. I don’t really have any issue with the story itself, just the way it’s written throws me off sometimes. It feels sort of jarring in a way to, to be reading a book and see somewhat modern memes and references to social media.

Started reading this on my lunch at work, almost finished 2 chapters in 30min so not bad. These aliens seem to know a lot about human culture for not really caring about the life that had been on the planet. Not a bad read so far, but also feels a little too goofy at times. Hoping to finish this by Sunday.

I’m on chapter 4 of the audiobook now; maybe 1:45 minutes in. There’s some details I didn’t really remember from when I’d seen this storyline before. Taking a break because I want to play games now.

I’m on chapter 2 now. I don’t have a physical copy of this book and can’t find a text ebook to read along, so I only have the audiobook. There are 336 pages in the physical book, and Spotify says there’s 40 chapters. If the chapters are evenly spaced, that’d be like 8.4 pages per chapter. I’ll call it 8.5 for easier math. Not accurate, but the best I can keep track this way.

Since Project Hail Mary was removed from Spotify’s ebooks, I was looking for something else to listen to. I like Batman and I liked the court of owls story in animation and comics so I figured I’d give this a try.

I was listening to it on audiobook via Spotify again during my breaks at work. I was going to read along again right now, but when I tapped on the book it said it was unavailable in my region now. I’m not sure if it’ll let me listen past chapter 5 because of that. So weird. The story is pretty interesting so far though. Even if it’s pretty corny sometimes.

Listened to the audiobook for a little bit before bed. I don’t really have any criticism or comments about the story from this point. Just reading through Grace’s slow conclusion of his role for the mission he’s been sent on.

I had trouble focusing so I read along with the audiobook on Spotify pretty much up to this point. Then I felt like it was reading too slow so I paused it to read on my own. I don’t really like the parts where the author uses parenthesis. I guess I just prefer a more serious or direct tone than interjecting inner thoughts in that way.

I don’t like how it starts off. Personally, I don’t like reading about being in a hospital-like setting. While the author seemed to pay good attention to detail, it made me feel uncomfortable to read and it felt like I was just trying to rush to read through it so I could get to the actual content of the book.
