“The Only Good Indians” altered my reading chemistry and I’m so, so siked to be back in the SGJ saddle!

Ok Emma Brodie’s “Into The Blue” crawled so this one could walk!

No one writes monsters in the woods like Tananarive I think!

Ok I like Mira way more now! Enjoying all of the POVs this time around

I can totally see why this was longlisted for the Booker Prize this year. Few can create a mood like Emma Cline

If it’s to be said that Grace O’Malley broke glass ceilings it’s because she rammed her fleet straight through them and into the heavens! Also this is my first time seeing “mother/maiden/matriarch” instead of “crone” for the latter and I’m into it.

Oh the bittersweet duality of being so grateful for all Dolly gave us and so sad for the gravitational shift of what we’ve lost. Everything I read just makes me miss her more.

“I think he was trying to groom me but just, like, incompetently.” (Paraphrasing) there are so many funny one liners in this book I have to muffle giggles while I’m up late feeding my newborn!

… have I finally stumbled upon a feel good book this summer? Is the curse broken? Or am I just in for it later 😂

Reading this during the Lindsay Clancy trial is uncanny

Unavoidable pun here but I’m losing steam on this a bit 😅 being stuck on an endless subway is truly a nightmare I’m not sure I need 500+ pages of

When the preface asserts that you don’t have to understand the setting to enjoy the book, it feels like a bit of a red flag. And so far I’m enjoying it but I definitely don’t feel like I have a grasp on the setting 😂🚩

Starting to get action fatigue a little bit 😅 but pleased with how much this book has moved the plot along!

More Blair Witch Project than actual witchy, but you can cut the tension with a knife and I’m locked in for what I hope is a signature rolling reveal Sager finish!

I think Maggie O’Farrell could write about a grocery list and make it sound beautiful and literary

Halfway through and barely a break in the action!

It’s starting to grow on me but the first half was a drag. I want to relate to the group of friends more but I feel like I’m just meant to vibe with them because they’re millennials, as opposed to actual shared experiences.

Surprised at how invested I am in this fictional cat named Donut

Ok now this is FUN I feel like I’m in a Hunger Games video game

Macabre and quirky at the same time?

I am locked IN!! This is the perfect thriller for two-week postpartum, hormone-addled girl moms. Sophie’s daughter Lucy gets kidnapped while they’re on a trip together in Texas, and I’m ready to saddle up with Sophie and go all Liam Neeson on these A holes 🤠 yee haw

“And then she flew off into her happily ever after… or whatever night she was about to have.” -literally two-week postpartum me at 8pm every night

Really intriguing premise. A bit slow going in the middle portion so far. Also if clowns are not your thing you might want to skip this one!

This is my first Judy Blume book so don’t come for me but I’m a little disappointed how much sex is in this book?! Can a coming-of-age teenage girl story also focus on… not just boys?

Digging the Texas drama-thriller subgenre, this would pair so well with The Hunting Wives! Big stakes (dare I say big steaks as well?), big accents, big drama.

Haven’t read a summer camp thriller since Riley Sager’s “The Last Time I Lied,” similar vibes so far if you liked that one!

I can NOT put this down, I’m addicted to their drama! This is probably my vote for book of the summer

This book has been quoted and cited in SO many nonfiction books I’ve read I just figured maybe I should just go right to the source and give it a read 😂

Omg the nostalgia of social dynamics playing The Sims with your girlfriends. So many memories unlocked and yes I still remember the cheat codes
